About The Role

As a Senior SDET – Java & Selenium, you will make an impact by designing and implementing scalable automated testing solutions that improve software quality and accelerate application releases. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, product owners, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable applications across multiple platforms.

In This Role, You Will

Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Java and Selenium for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Build and maintain reusable automation frameworks, test components, test data strategies, and quality engineering best practices.

Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps to support continuous testing and faster releases.

Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and collaborate with development teams to support timely issue resolution.

Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase automation coverage, testing efficiency, and product quality.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

6+ years of strong hands-on experience developing automated test solutions using Java and Selenium.

Experience designing, executing, and maintaining functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated tests.

Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect analysis, and software testing best practices.

Experience creating and maintaining reusable test automation frameworks and managing test data for complex business workflows.

Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners, DevOps teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

These will help you stand out

Experience integrating automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar technologies.

Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.

Exposure to performance testing tools, practices, or frameworks.

Experience supporting applications within the healthcare industry.

Understanding of automation coverage, testing efficiency, defect trends, and other quality engineering metrics.

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
