**Role & seniority: ** Test Automation / System Validation Engineer (mid-level; 3–7 years), likely Senior/Staff-adjacent based on scope (V&V/process ownership, cross-team coordination).

**Stack/tools: ** C#, C++, Python; CI/CD pipelines/tools; test automation frameworks; instrument control (e.g., Oscilloscope, AWG, Digitizer, Downconverter); PXI (plus); possible instrumentation ecosystems (e.g., Keysight); graphical workflows/data acquisition tools (nice-to-have).

**Top 3 responsibilities: **

  1. Design/implement/maintain test automation workflows for a quantum control system to improve test coverage.

  2. Develop/optimize automation frameworks for testing and infrastructure; contribute to codebase improvements.

  3. Create/execute test plans (automated + manual) and partner across software/firmware/hardware; co-define and document V&V processes.

  • Must-have skills:

    • Strong C# / C++ / Python development and debugging

    • Understanding of software performance fundamentals

    • Experience with CI/CD

    • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and Python scripting

    • Troubleshooting across UI ↔ backend ↔ hardware interactions

    • Instrumentation integration skills; ability to work with/around lab gear

    • Clear written/verbal communication; collaborative work across global teams

  • Nice-to-haves:

    • Graphical workflows for scientific/DAQ systems

    • ARM processors and *FPGA
