Position Overview Right-to-hire opportunity with a major investment firm
Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite)
Pay Rate: $50 to $60 per hour on W2 W2 only. No C2C.
Key Requirements Both manual and automated testing experience End-to-end testing experience Selenium and Playwright with Java Test artifact creation, including test case design and execution Functional testing with UAT experience Full stack testing experience (front end and back end)
Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks for UI, API, and back-end validation using Selenium, Cucumber, and related tools Create and execute smoke, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests across user stories, applications, and release cycles Identify gaps, challenge assumptions, and uncover edge cases to improve product quality and risk coverage Develop Quality Management plans, test strategies, and test plans, and peer review test cases for each sprint or release Partner with Product Owners and development teams to validate requirements, ensure test coverage, and lead defect review discussions Maintain requirement traceability, test cases, test sets, defects, and QA status reporting in approved quality tools Support non-functional QA phases, including performance, security, and accessibility testing Integrate automated tests into CI/CD build and deployment pipelines Provide guidance on QA strategy, governance, risk management, and best practices across scrum teams Stay current with industry trends and test automation best practices
Education and Experience
B. S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience executing and managing all aspects of software testing
- Strong functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications
- Experience testing RESTful microservices in cloud-based environments
- Understanding of cloud databases, NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aurora), caching (ElastiCache), and SQL
- Technical Qualifications
Test automation tools: Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, Playwright, Postman, SoapUI, Protractor, Cucumber, TypeScript
Methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid
Collaboration tools: JIRA, Confluence, MIRO REST API automation, Unix, scripting, and reusable, maintainable test scripts
AWS: Lambda, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Glue, Athena, Parquet file format Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline integration (preferred)
