    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts/frameworks

    • Execute functional/regression/integration/end-to-end testing (plus manual testing when needed)

    • Analyze requirements to create test cases/scenarios and manage defects (log/track/verify)

  • Must-have skills:

    • Strong test automation experience (Selenium/Playwright/Cypress)

    • API testing proficiency (Postman/Rest Assured/Bruno)

    • Programming in Java/C#/JS/Python

    • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and CI/CD integration for test runs

    • Defect management using Jira/Azure DevOps

  • Nice-to-haves:

    • BDD (Cucumber/SpecFlow)

    • Performance testing (JMeter)

We at Coforge are looking for Test Engineer in Telford, UK.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer to join our growing QA team in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. The role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing activities. Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. Identify, log, track, and verify software defects. Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve software quality. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution. Prepare test reports and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation frameworks. Perform manual testing when required to support project deliverables. Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation. Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar. Proficiency in Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python. Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Good knowledge of software testing principles, test design techniques, and QA best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow. Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter. Experience working within cloud environments (Azure/AWS). Knowledge of SQL and database testing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. ISTQB certification is desirable.
