For one of our clients, an international technology company developing advanced communication solutions, we are looking for a Systems Test Engineer to join their engineering team in Lausanne.

You will work on the development and verification of active phased-array antenna systems, combining RF communication chains, power and control electronics, hardware/software integration and mechanical structures.

The role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of R&D, system testing and production, within a highly multidisciplinary and international environment.

Tasks

📌 Your Role

As a Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for high-level system test verification and will act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders.

You will contribute to defining and implementing comprehensive verification strategies, designing test plans and procedures, executing and analyzing tests, and supporting the investigation and resolution of technical issues.

You will also coordinate with the relevant engineering disciplines and delegate lower-level testing activities when required.

🔹 System Verification & Test Strategy

Develop and implement comprehensive system verification strategies.

Define test plans, test procedures and test reports.

Develop and maintain testing methodologies adapted to complex systems.

Ensure testing strategies are aligned with project objectives and customer requirements.

🔹 Test Execution & Analysis

Execute manual and automated test cases.

Analyze test results and identify defects, anomalies and performance issues.

Assess system performance under different operating conditions, including stress, load and scalability testing where applicable.

Document testing activities, results and identified defects.

🔹 Test Automation

Create and maintain automated test scripts.

Contribute to improving the efficiency, repeatability and reliability of testing processes.

Identify and implement new testing tools and methodologies.

🔹 Troubleshooting & System Debugging

Work closely with design and engineering teams to reproduce and investigate issues.

Support the identification of root causes and contribute to their resolution.

Provide technical feedback and recommendations to improve product design, functionality and usability.

🔹 Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across RF, electronics, software and mechanical disciplines.

Participate in technical and project review meetings.

Present test results and findings to project stakeholders.

Coordinate testing activities across different engineering disciplines when required.

Requirements

💼 Your Profile

Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, Microtechnology or a related field.

Experience or strong interest in active antenna systems.

Good understanding of complex systems involving

RF and communication chains

RF subsystems

Power and control electronics

Hardware/software integration

Mechanical structures

Previous industrial experience is a strong plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary and international environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Interest in both R&D and production environments.

Fluent English; French is a plus.
