Role Description
Experience: 2 to 5 years Job Title: Automation Test Engineer (Java + Playwright + API Automation) We are seeking a detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based UI automation using Playwright and API automation using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and ensuring high-quality releases through effective test strategies. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright WebDriver with Java. Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications. Build and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured. Validate REST APIs, including request/response validation, authentication, and error handling. Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Analyze test execution results, identify defects, and track them to closure. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverables. Participate in test planning, estimation, and review activities. Continuously enhance automation frameworks for scalability and reusability. Required Skills: Strong proficiency in Java programming. Hands-on experience with Playwright WebDriver for UI automation. Experience in API testing using Rest Assured. Good understanding of RESTful services, HTTP methods, and status codes. Experience with test frameworks like TestNG or JUnit. Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and version control systems (Git). Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools.
