Senior Software Test Engineer

Experience: 4 to 8 Years Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to drive quality across our web-based products and platform capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in manual testing, test strategy, defect management, and Agile delivery practices, along with a solid understanding of networking concepts. The candidate will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases by proactively identifying risks, validating requirements, and executing comprehensive test coverage. Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Execution Analyze product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to define comprehensive test strategies. Design, develop, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data. Perform functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing of web applications. Validate application behavior across browsers, operating systems, and device configurations. Ensure complete traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects. Automation & Continuous Testing Support and expand automation coverage using established automation frameworks. Identify candidates for automation and improve regression testing efficiency. Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines. Performance & Reliability Validation Validate application performance, responsiveness, and scalability. Assist in performance and load testing activities. Monitor quality metrics and provide release readiness assessments. Domain & System Validation Validate workflows involving networking and connectivity features. Analyze logs, API responses, and system behavior to troubleshoot issues. Work with distributed systems and backend services to identify integration issues. Reporting & Documentation Document test results, defects, risks, and release quality metrics. Provide clear and concise status updates to stakeholders. Maintain testing artifacts and ensure quality documentation is up to date. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Web Application Testing or Software Quality Assurance. Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies and defect lifecycle management. Experience testing modern web applications and REST APIs.
