**Role & seniority: ** Customer-facing technical application/support role (product consultation, troubleshooting, training) for OMICRON protection testing solutions; requires graduate-level education and several years of relevant experience.

**Stack/tools: **

  • OMICRON protection testing and diagnostic equipment

  • OMICRON applications (provide on-site support for application issues)

  • Training delivery via in-person sessions and webinars

  • Develop/write application notes and technical papers; presentations for seminars/conferences

**Top 3 responsibilities: **

  • Troubleshoot technical issues for customers and sales support; provide on-site support for OMICRON applications

  • Deliver training on OMICRON products (classroom/field and webinars)

  • Develop and maintain application notes/technical papers; contribute input to product strategy and application needs

**Must-have skills: **

  • Degree in electronics or electrical engineering

  • Several years’ experience in power systems, especially substation protection apparatus

  • Customer support experience; ability to train in classroom and field settings

  • Strong communication and organizational skills; proactive, open, service-oriented approach

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel

**Nice-to-haves: **

  • Experience developing technical documentation (application notes/papers) and presenting at seminars/conferences

  • Familiarity with generation/transmission/distribu

Full Description

What's it all about?

You provide product consultation, training and support on protection testing and diagnostic equipment for digital protection systems associated to our customer base You troubleshoot technical problems for customer and sales support and provide on-site support for customers in all questions concerning OMICRON applications You develop and deliver training for OMICRON's products, both in person and with webinars You provide input on new products, product strategies, development, and application needs You are directly involved with power system assets, in the generation, transmission & distribution areas You manage and develop application notes and technical papers, including presentations at relevant seminars/conferences Travel share is up to 50%

You have successfully completed your graduate education in electronics or electrical engineering You have several years of experience in power systems, especially in the fields of substation protection apparatus You have customer support experience and enjoy giving training in both classroom and field environment You have a pro-active and open personality You are service-oriented and enjoy working with customers and our motivated team Communication and organizational skills are among your strengths You are flexible, and would enjoy traveling to other countries
