Test Engineer — Manchester, 1 day a week — £325 per day — Inside IR35
A UK central government programme is hiring a test engineer at working level. This is a hands-on role. Functional testing, automated suites you build and maintain, and performance testing you design and run — all three, rather than one of them.
The package £325 per day Inside IR35 One day a week on site in Manchester, the rest remote SFIA 4, working level Clearance requirement and duration are being confirmed and will be shared before application
What you will do Functional testing across the team's services, including test design and defect management Build and maintain automated test suites Design and run performance tests, and act on what they tell you Test across both the front end and the back end of an Azure-based stack Work alongside the delivery team in Manchester one day a week
What you need Test automation — building and maintaining frameworks, not only executing someone else's Performance testing — designing and running load, stress or soak tests, with the tooling Functional testing as the base discipline Familiarity with both front end and back end testing, including APIs Experience of an Azure stack
Useful but not required: UK central government delivery, ISTQB or equivalent, experience of debt, finance or case-management services.
