**Role & seniority: ** QA Engineer (hands-on), ~2+ years experience; full-time
**Location & work type: ** Fully remote (EU/European overlap preferred; fluent English). Note: “Nice to have” if based in Indonesia / Indonesia time zone.
**Stack/tools: ** Playwright, Cypress, Selenium; Jest, Vitest; GitHub Actions CI; Postman (API testing); JavaScript/TypeScript; Git; AI tools for test creation/analysis/maintenance.
**Top 3 responsibilities: **

Build end-to-end UI test automation for the Occibo web app.

Create test plans/cases/regression suites for core user flows; cover edge cases.

Integrate tests into CI, monitor failures, and keep the suite stable/maintainable (plus add API-level tests to support UI reliability).

Must-have skills:

2+ years hands-on QA/testing or QA automation experience.

Proficiency with at least one automation framework (Playwright or Cypress preferred).

Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript and Git.

Understanding of CI pipelines and reliable test design (stable selectors/test data strategy).

Experience using AI tools in testing/dev workflow.

Fluent English and ability to work with EU business-hour overlap.

About Occibo
Occibo is an AI-powered SaaS platform for children's book creation, built by IndieKidz GmbH in Berlin. We are a small, remote-first team looking for a QA Engineer to help us build and maintain automated testing so we can ship new features quickly and with confidence.

What you will do
Build end-to-end UI test automation for the Occibo web app
Write test plans, test cases, and regression suites for core user flows
Translate product requirements into automated checks, including edge cases
Collaborate with the development team on test data strategies and stable selectors
Add API level tests to support UI testing and improve overall reliability
Run tests in CI pipelines, track failures, and help keep the test suite stable and maintainable
Use AI tools to speed up test creation, analysis, and maintenance
Document testing processes, findings, and quality recommendations

Requirements
We are looking for
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing or QA automation
Experience with at least one test automation framework — Playwright or Cypress preferred
Comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript and Git
Understanding of CI pipelines and reliable test design
Experience using AI tools in a testing or development workflow
Fluent English
Comfortable working in EU time zones or with significant overlap during European business hours
Motivated to work in an early-stage startup environment where things move fast and ownership is expected
