Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on QA Lead to join our dynamic team in Houston. In this pivotal role, you will be the technical anchor and people leader for our quality assurance function. You will be responsible for architecting test strategies, leading the implementation of automated testing frameworks, and managing a large QA team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. The ideal candidate is a senior professional who can seamlessly transition from high-level stakeholder discussions to hands-on coding and problem-solving with the team.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks using Selenium and Java.
Lead by example by writing, executing, and reviewing automation code. This is a hands-on implementation role.
Define and implement the overall test strategy, including unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to establish a continuous testing process.
Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Lead, mentor, and coach a large team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Manage team allocation, workload distribution, and capacity planning for multiple projects.
Conduct performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and facilitate the professional growth of team members.
Oversee the quality standards and processes across all squads and deliverables.
Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related matters with key stakeholders (including Product Management, Development Leads, and Senior Management).
Provide clear and concise test reports, metrics, and quality status updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills
10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a significant focus on test automation.
3+ years of proven experience in a QA Lead or Manager role, directly managing a team of 10+ QA engineers.
Expert-level proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and Java for creating complex automation frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in a hands-on capacity; must be able to write code and debug complex automation scripts.
Strong experience with stakeholder management; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven track record of defining test strategies and leading the QA effort for large-scale, enterprise-level applications.
