Run automated accessibility scans using tools like axe DevTools, Lighthouse, and Accessibility Insights; assist in maintaining automated axe-core test suites in the CI/CD pipeline.
Log high-quality bug reports with exact reproduction steps, impact severity on users with disabilities, and code-level remediation recommendations (HTML semantics, ARIA attributes).
Partner with frontend engineers and UX designers during sprint planning and PR reviews to catch accessibility regressions early.
Solid working knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA criteria, Section 508, and WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices Guide (APG).
Clear understanding of how to test and validate complex interactive widgets like Combobox, Listbox, Dialogs, Tooltips, and ARIA Live Regions.
Hands-on proficiency testing across primary browser and screen reader combinations (Chrome/NVDA, Edge/JAWS, Safari/VoiceOver, Chrome/TalkBack).
Ability to inspect the DOM, evaluate color contrast ratios, check accessible names in DevTools, and read basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
