**Top 3 responsibilities: **

Define and continuously improve risk-based test strategies (functional, integration, API, UI, DB, performance, security).

Design/evolve scalable automation frameworks and implement modern AI-assisted testing approaches.

Partner with Dev/DevOps to integrate automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD; drive quality metrics and root-cause resolution.

Must-have skills:

Hands-on test automation and test framework design; SDET leadership.

Playwright/Cypress (or equivalent) with Java/Python.

About the Company: We are a software development company dedicated to building secure, highly available cloud-based enterprise products for the life sciences and research sectors.
Role Overview: You will lead quality engineering across our enterprise software products, combining test automation and modern AI-assisted quality engineering with delivery leadership and mentoring. You will partner with Development and DevOps to build quality into the SDLC.
Key Responsibilities
Define and continuously improve risk-based test strategies covering functional, integration, API, UI, database, performance, and security testing. Lead the design and evolution of scalable automation frameworks and modern AI-assisted testing approaches. Partner with Development and DevOps teams to integrate automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines. Track quality metrics and drive defect analysis and root-cause resolution. Mentor the QE team in modern quality engineering, automation code reviews, and AI-assisted testing.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of software testing and quality engineering experience, including strong hands-on test automation and technical team leadership. Strong proficiency in modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress, with Java and/or Python skills. Experience with API testing, SQL validation, and Angular/React front ends with Java/Spring back ends. Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and enterprise SaaS testing requirements. Exposure to AI-assisted/agentic testing approaches and TDD/BDD.
