The primary mission of the Sr. Quality Engineer is to continuously improve safety, quality, business, and manufacturing processes with an emphasis on eliminating process waste. The use of structured quality improvement tools is required. The Sr. Quality Engineer will design new processes and re-engineer existing processes to produce outcomes that meet safety, quality, and business expectations. YOUR IMPACT Support housekeeping and safety. Facilitate and train employee teams in process improvement techniques Assist in the identification and implementation of six-sigma projects Lead teams in applying the six sigma DMAIC methodology to eliminate waste Apply basic process improvement tools within the six sigma DMAIC improvement model Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) Mentor and train Associate Engineers and Quality Engineers Lead customer interactions Design and improve process inputs to gain desired outcome Improve processes to reduce common cause variability and eliminate special cause Establish control plans to prevent process backsliding for consolidation of gains Perform process capability studies internally and externally Analyze process constraints and develop standards to overcome constraints Revise procedures for process improvement Investigate/analyze and benchmark industry practices for process validation assessments Implement effective corrective and preventative actions utilizing structured planning methods Coordinate and work cross-functionally with Employee Teams, Quality, Engineering, Contracts, Sales and Manufacturing to improve processes Must proactively plan and execute plans in accordance with established time constraints Minimal travel as required. Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/educational courses as required Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree 3 plus years related work experience Must interpret basic technical drawings including characteristics such as views, title blocks, dimensioning, GD&T symbols, etc. Interpret specification requirements in relation to product and process characteristics Advanced training/experience in the use of statistical techniques and process improvement methods PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Six sigma certification & CQE Certification and/or customer audit experience Pay Range: $72,200.00 - $116,200.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
