Role & seniority: Process Quality Engineer (mid-level to senior) for an on-site, full-time position in Wolverhampton.
Stack/tools: Interpretation of drawings, GD&T; inspection planning and documentation; manual and automated inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, CMM, vision systems); AS9100 quality system knowledge; AS9102 FAIR; APQP involvement; MSA planning; data interpretation for process capability; familiarity with ASME Y14.5 advantageous.
Develop and review inspection plans, procedures, and documentation; support design reviews with quality input.
Support NPI/development phases: investigations, problem analysis, and resolution of technical and quality issues; drive continuous improvement.
Plan/co-ordinate MSA studies; assist in designing inspection processes, equipment, and fixturing; interpret manufacturing data to assess process stability and capability.
Strong quality background in aerospace or automotive product development/NPI.
Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience with manual/automated inspection tools and data interpretation for process capability.
Familiarity with AS9100/AS9102; ability to work in a dynamic team; good communication/problem-solving.
ASME Y14.5 drafting/modelling experience.
Experience with inspection method development and new technologies.
