General Summary
Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Responsibilities
Conduct power consumption testing for products, including test case design, execution, and issue analysis. Optimize testing processes to improve efficiency and coverage. Support troubleshooting and resolution of power-related issues, collaborating with R&D teams for power optimization. Prepare detailed test reports and participate in test strategy reviews. Set up and maintain power testing environments to ensure accuracy and stability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields. Minimum 3 years of experience in power consumption testing, familiar with testing methodologies and tools. Proficient in Linux systems and platform-level testing, including CPU, GPU, DDR, multimedia, and Modem modules. Skilled in writing automation scripts (Python preferred) and capable of independently setting up test environments. Strong English writing skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in power breakdown analysis, power modeling, and competitive benchmarking. Hands-on experience with power testing for smartphones, chipsets, or embedded devices. Familiarity with power measurement instruments such as power analyzers, power monitor, Kratos and thermal chambers. Familiarity with LTE/5GNR modem test.
