Alif established its first European R&D site to Oulu to be a significant center of expertise and employ teams of Software and Digital IC Design experts, to complement the staff in the US and India. As our site is growing, we have a role for a Validation Engineer to join our newly founded Silicon Validation team to help us to expand and maintain our lab and to manage the execution of silicon validation tests for all of Alif’s devices. This position is a permanent, full-time role for an entry-level engineer to work alongside our more experienced engineers.

We are building our Silicon Validation Team, and in this role, you will work closely with the director of Silicon Validation and the rest of our validation and development teams. This role will provide you with the opportunity to grow into a more senior role as your experience increases. If this sounds appealing, please read on

Ideally, we would like you to work on the following responsibilities

• • Build and maintain our silicon validation lab infrastructure
• • Setting up, operating and integrating test equipment to silicon validation test frameworks
• • Help create and maintain silicon validation test frameworks
• • Help in maintaining an automated test environment
• • Help develop and execute scripts and applications for automated testing and system configuration to validate silicon level functionality and performance
• • Assisting with root cause analysis and defect isolate of issues found
• • Bug reporting and verification of bug fixes

The role will be built around the experience you have, but here’s some requirements that we feel may be beneficial for you to have

• Background or studies in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Some previous experience with test equipment used in validation
• Some knowledge or experience with testing frameworks, software configuration management & defect tracking tools.
• Knowledge of silicon validation is a plus
