Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Selenium Automation Tester with 3-5 years of experience in designing and maintaining automated test frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through automation, regression testing, and continuous integration practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Selenium-based automation frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, etc.). Analyze user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to create test plans and test cases. Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps / Bugzilla. Automate regression, smoke, and functional test cases. Execute test scripts and validate application functionality across browsers. Develop and integrate automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions). Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases. Maintain test documentation and generate execution reports. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. Strong programming/scripting skills in Java (preferred), Python, or C#. Experience with TestNG / JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Page Object Model (POM). Good understanding of manual testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
Experience with version control tools: Git / Bitbucket / GitHub. Knowledge of REST API testing using Postman / RestAssured is a plus.
Familiarity with continuous integration tools: Jenkins / GitLab CI. Experience testing responsive UI, cross-browser compatibility, and web applications.
Good To Have
Experience with Cucumber / BDD frameworks. Exposure to Selenium Grid, Docker, and parallel execution. Experience with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is an advantage. Understanding of SQL for backend validation.
