Role & seniority: Experienced/ Senior Software Test Engineer (2–3+ years QA) in Defence Headquarters QA team, part of the APEX-team in Aarhus; integrated with development teams.
Stack/tools: Manual testing (required), test design, test strategies, risk analysis, test cases; contributes to test automation; on-premise and cloud testing; Jira, XRay, R4J; ISTQB Foundation certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
Own the quality assurance of your features and ensure quality is built in from the start; early test involvement across all levels.
Design test strategies, create test cases, participate in risk analyses/estimations; collaborate with developers, product owners, designers, and project managers.
Perform system, integration, and bug-hunt testing across on-premise and cloud solutions; support and contribute to test automation efforts.

Experienced Software Test Engineer - Ensure high quality in our Defence Headquarters Software Products Testing and Quality Assurance are integral throughout the entire feature development phase. Through close collaboration with the development team and early test involvement, you will act as the guardian of high-quality standards and processes.
The job As our new colleague in the Defence Headquarters QA team, you will join a Scrum team dedicated to ensuring high-quality in our software from the beginning of the process primarily via manual testing.
Analysing requirements, designing test strategies, testing features during each development phase, participating in risk analysis and estimation sessions, creating test cases, and contributing to test automation. Testing both on-premise and cloud solutions. Asking critical questions during development, understanding assignments, and establishing close cooperation with stakeholders such as developers, product owners, designers, and project managers. Ensuring quality is built in from the start. Participating in all test activities, including system tests, bug hunts, and integration tests. To sum it up; you will own the quality assurance of your features and be responsible for early test involvement on all levels.
Joining the Headquarters team We are looking for a skilled colleague to join our APEX-team in Aarhus. As a Software Test Engineer in Defence Headquarters, you will play a vital role and become an integrated part of the development teams. Each team typically consists of a test engineer, approximately five developers, an architect, and a project manager.

Your Qualifications We expect a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other related fields or several years of working with quality assurance At least 2-3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
