Systems Test Engineer Would you like to help shape the future of library and learning solutions for educational institutions and public libraries?

About the position

This role is located at our Bucharest office and is part of Systematic’s Library & Learning business unit. As a Systems Test Engineer, you will join an agile, autonomous project team of 40 colleagues split between Romania and Denmark. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software releases, working closely with Developers, Architects, UX Designers, Domain Experts, and fellow Testers throughout the development process.

At the beginning of your employment, you will travel to Aarhus, Denmark, for approximately 2 weeks to attend an onboarding course, get familiar with the company, culture, project, and your team. Occasional travel with the team is expected, around 5 days per year.

Responsibilities and tasks

Your main responsibility will be to assure the quality of our releases and contribute to delivering high-quality library and learning solutions. Daily tasks include

Learning about the processes and usage scenarios within the library and learning area Analysing development tasks from a test perspective Defining and performing manual tests Updating test documentation Collaborating with other Testers on test strategies and techniques

Our ideal candidate

Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field Has at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance within software development projects Fluent in English and Romanian Passionate about quality assurance, integrating quality from specification to final product Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Communicates complex solutions clearly and works effectively in distributed Scrum teams Proactive, responsible, result-oriented, and comfortable balancing independent work with teamwork Thrives in a structured yet flexible process and appreciates autonomy in organizing work

Preferred skills

Test automation experience ISTQB or TMAP certification (or willingness to take one with Systematic’s support)
