Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES / RESPONSABILIDADES - List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above

Manage current and new component design engineering and testing requirements to meet business objectives Creating Design Concept based on customer inputs and develop PV testing plan. Understanding of product costing and testing cost estimation is required. Understanding of product manufacturing and processes which may impact quality, delivery, and cost. Also, an understanding of upstream processes and cost drivers. Lead and support development of business plan that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability by performing market research, competitor analysis and customer surveys, gather customer requirements; initiating and coordinating development of action plans; develop business case / white paper with cross functional team support; and deliver technical RFQ response and negotiate technical points with proper organizational approval. Support for organizational activities for VA/VE & inventory control Accountable for proper customer information flow with respect to technical and quality issues, as well as any purchasing initiated information requests that affect customer satisfaction. Working with external test labs to get the quotes as per test plan coordinating POs and maintaining the PO tracker for testing activities and coordinating for their payment Ensure personnel development is defined and maintained. Comply with all company policies and ensure a safe work environment. Continuously develop a position of influence with key customer decision makers, including all related groups. Define, develop and deliver engineering solutions in support of customer initiatives and business needs. Provide leadership to all pertinent groups as an internal/external customer advocate to achieve the highest level of customer support.

KNOWLEDGE / CONOCIMIENTO- Describe any knowledge or skill (eg, technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) which the position requires.

Education and Experience

Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in related field. Minimum of five years demonstrated leadership / management experience. Experience on Component PV Testing

Preferred

Masters Degree in Engineering / Business or equivalent. Previous role with key OEM/Tier account; light vehicle, commercial vehicle, specialized product OEM related to agriculture, construction or recreational sports.

Skill/ knowledge requirements

Knowledge of 3D Software CATIA / CREO Provides technical expertise and guidance to staff as appropriate. Proven Account Management skills required to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships. Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with high quality and on-time completion. Thorough understanding of design and engineering disciplines. IS/TS/QS9000 Procedures and Standards Engineering Standards Program and time management Microsoft Office software Cost reporting / reconciliation as and when required Skilled negotiator Knowledge of High Voltage Wiring Harness Component design is preferred.

Working Conditions

Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally. Medium physical activity – ability to lift up to 25 pounds. High level of initiative and works well in team environment. Able to manage stressful situations and deadline pressures. Plans and executes responsibilities with minimal direction.
