Role & seniority: Test Engineering Intern (undergraduate/graduate level)
Stack/tools: electrical/computer engineering discipline; programming basics (Python, C#, Bash, Java or similar); test automation frameworks (nice-to-have); version control (Git/Bitbucket); lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on hardware, firmware/software, and systems
Document test results and defects; analyze data and prepare reports; support automation efforts
Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
GPA 3.1+; coursework or project experience in testing methodologies
Programming familiarity (Python, C#, Bash, Java, or similar)
Ability to work independently and in teams; strong analytical/problem-solving skills
Experience with test automation frameworks
Knowledge of Git/Bitbucket
Understanding of product development lifecycles
Experience with lab equipment; exposure to Agile/Scrum
Prior internship/co-op in engineering

Mercury Systems is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineering Intern to join our Test Engineering team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the testing and verification of advanced aerospace and defense electronic products, including embedded electronics, rack mount servers, and avionics systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, the intern will assist with developing test plans, executing test procedures, and analyzing results across a variety of test disciplines such as environmental qualification, electromagnetic interference (EMI), functional testing, and software verification.
