We have a brand-new opportunity for a Hands-on Automation Testing Lead to join our team. This role blends deep execution, technical leadership, and ownership of quality at scale. One day you’ll be building and refining automation frameworks, the next you’ll be leading engineers, reviewing test strategy, and protecting releases across complex, real-world systems. What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain automation test frameworks (Playwright-first)
• Write and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, and end-to-end flows
• Run automation continuously to protect releases across core platforms
• Lead and mentor automation engineers (minimum 2 years leadership experience)
• Review automation code and enforce testing standards
• Own automation coverage, execution quality, and release readiness
• Validate workflows across customer-facing, business-facing, and operational systems
• Ensure quality across personalization, orders, payments, fulfillment, and post-order flows
• Work closely with developers, product managers, operations, and customer support
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and release reviews
• Turn production issues into long-term automated test coverage
• Continuously improve automation stability, speed, and reliability

What Will You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on automation testing experience
• 2+ years in an Automation Testing Lead / QA Automation Lead role
• Hands-on experience writing automation scripts using JavaScript / TypeScript, Java, or Python
• Strong experience with automation frameworks, with Playwright preferred
• Or strong experience with Java + Selenium or Python + Selenium
• Experience designing, maintaining, and scaling end-to-end automation frameworks
• Strong experience with UI and API automation for web applications
• Hands-on experience using API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Insomnia
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to lead automation efforts while remaining hands-on
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Nice to Have
• Experience working across multiple platforms or product types
• Experience using cloud-based cross-browser testing tools (e.g., LambdaTest)
• Background in e-commerce, marketplace, or Print-on-Demand
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools (K6, JMeter)
• Experience working in AI-driven or data-intensive environments
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality outcomes
• Self-driven with the ability to push initiatives forward without constant direction
• Proven ability to act as an enabler and leader, helping teams deliver better and faster
