What you’ll do… A unique opportunity for an electromechanical enthusiast to be part of fast-growing organization developing next generation products and solutions. Seeking a detail-oriented, dependable hands-on supervisor to join product development group. The lab supervisors’ responsibilities include monitoring, servicing, troubleshooting equipment, running tests, completing reports, updating, and improving existing systems, repairing or replacing faulty equipment as directed along with ensuring all safety procedures are being followed. This position is based out of our Manufacturing facility in Houston, TX (20702 Hempstead Rd.)

- Coordinating test schedules and equipment availability across various engineering groups.
- Ensuring Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards.
- Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment.
- Running various tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.
- Writing reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans.
- Sourcing replacement parts and repairing or replacing faulty equipment
- Working with engineers in testing and troubleshooting generators, control equipment and data acquisition hardware.
- Being proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems.
- Facilitating technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers.
- Performing periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Working in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold.
- Following company process and procedures for verbal/written communications.
- Utilizing all current technology for communication, documentation, and research.
- Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company’s management
- Requirements
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical power distribution and control systems design.
- Have Mechanical systems experience.
- Have a Technical Degree or Certification.
- Show understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
What you’ll need
- 4+ years of hands-on mechanical and/ or electrical machinery repair
- 4+ years of hands-on mechanical and/ or electrical machinery troubleshooting
- 2+ years of guiding/ mentoring less experienced technicians
- Technical Degree in a mechanical/ electrical field or 10+ years of experience in a job requiring the use of technical knowledge
- Knowledge of generator theory, AC/DC circuit theory, protection relays, and electrical troubleshooting practices.
- Interpret Electrical and Mechanical schematics.
- Multi-task and handle multiple projects.
- Effective written and oral communications.
- Work in a team environment and coordinate with other areas to achieve goals and objectives with minimum direct supervision.
- Effectively manage time and complete projects on a timely basis.
- Work independently with remote oversite/support, be a self-starter, able to meet goals and deadlines.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office products (Project, Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point).
