Role & seniority: Software Test Engineer (mid-level), focused on automated testing for embedded software in digitally controlled welding systems.
Stack/tools: C/C++; embedded systems testing; unit test frameworks; debugging tools; oscilloscopes/logic analyzers; test equipment interfaces; Azure DevOps CI/CD; RTOS; Agile/Scrum familiarity; DAQ hardware/software (preferred).
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test strategies, plans, and test cases for new and existing products.
Lead defect isolation, reporting, and tracking through resolution; ensure testability and robust test solutions for embedded software.
Collaborate with software/hardware engineers, QA, product/marketing to improve quality and stay current with testing best practices; contribute to embedded development as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Software Engineering; 2–3 years in software testing or test automation.
Strong C/C++ programming; familiarity with unit test frameworks.
Experience with embedded interfaces, test equipment, debugging tools; version control; defect tracking.
Analytical/problem-solving ability; clear communication across cross-functional teams.
