As a Controls Test Engineer, you will define, build, and execute test strategies spanning software, hardware, and simulation environments, including MIL, SIL, and vehicle tests. You’ll build automation frameworks, validate embedded systems and propulsion control modules, perform defect triage, and conduct system root-cause analysis. Key Responsibilities Define comprehensive test strategies and architectures for new features and systems. Translate requirements and system design into detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts. Build and maintain test automation frameworks (Python, scripting, MATLAB/Simulink, CAPL). Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows. Execute MIL/SIL/vehicle-level testing; analyze logs, telemetry, and CAN data. Collaborate across software, firmware, systems, and vehicle teams to resolve integration issues. Track and report quality metrics, coverage, and defect trends. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s/master’s degree in EE, CE, CS, or related engineering field. 5+ years in embedded/automotive test engineering. Strong experience with SIL/HIL/vehicle testing. Test automation and scripting expertise (MATLAB, Python, CAPL, Shell). Strong understanding of vehicle protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS).
