Job Position: QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with 4+ years of
expertise in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on
experience with Selenium, TestNG, and programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python) for
automation. Solid knowledge of API testing, database validation (SQL & NoSQL), and Linux
command-line operations is essential. The candidate will also mentor junior QA engineers and
drive test automation strategies to ensure high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test
cases.
Build and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, and
Java/JavaScript/Python.
Drive API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured and validate backend
services.
Perform backend validation using SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). Utilize Linux commands for log analysis, server-side validations, and debugging test
environments.
Mentor junior QA engineers, providing technical guidance, reviews, and training. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, DevOps) to
ensure quality standards are met.
Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis. Advocate for QA best practices, continuous automation coverage, and process
improvements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to estimation, planning, and
retrospectives.
Ensure robust test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance
testing.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual + automation). Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and TestNG. Proficient in programming with Java, JavaScript, and Python for test automation. Strong knowledge of API testing with Postman, REST-assured, or similar tools. Experience with backend testing using SQL and NoSQL databases. Hands-on knowledge of Linux commands for QA activities (log analysis, process checks,
environment debugging).
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices. Experience designing scalable automation solutions and integrating them with CI/CD
pipelines.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring QA team
members.
Preferred Qualifications (Good To Have)
Exposure to Playwright for web automation using JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience in mobile application testing (Android and/or iOS). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling). Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
