Role & seniority: Vehicle Testing Specialist (mid-level), focused on AV/ADAS testing within Applied Intuition’s Tokyo team.
Stack/tools: hardware/software testing; familiarity with Linux; software tools: Slack, Jira, Confluence; Google Workspace. In-office workflow; collaboration with SW engineers and operations.
Execute test plans on autonomous vehicle development and ADAS programs.
Coordinate and improve testing procedures with software engineers and operations teams.
Produce detailed notes and formal test reports; support Vehicle Operators; act as safety champion for testing programs.
2+ years in hardware or software testing, data entry, or related technical work.
Troubleshooting experience with computers or hardware; detail-oriented; collaborative mindset; strong interest in autonomy software.
Software development practices experience; Linux proficiency.
Experience with Jira/Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace.
Prior exposure to ADAS/AV or automotive settings.

About the role As a Vehicle Testing Specialist you will be a trusted testing expert responsible for our daily testing activities for our autonomous vehicle programs. Vehicle Testing Specialists are responsible for executing test plans, supporting a wide range of testing functions, and reporting on testing outcomes to provide crucial information for our software development teams. You will be working closely with our software engineers and operations teams to coordinate and execute testing for our AV and ADAS projects.
