HireArt is helping our client find a Test Technician, QA, to help maintain high standards of safety, vehicle readiness, and software and hardware quality across autonomous vehicle operations.
In this role, you’ll execute testing, review data, generate Zero Problem Tickets (ZPTs), and log findings. You’ll document known issues and identify new defects, creating Jira tickets and communicating results to engineering teams. This role requires flexibility to support operational schedules, including early mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced, high-responsibility testing environments.
As An Autonomy Test Specialist, You'll
Support vehicle operations across a variety of in-vehicle and out-of-vehicle testing activities. Execute basic software operation tasks and mission preparation procedures. Perform testing and data collection to support validation of software, hardware, and operational workflows. Analyze vehicle logs and test data using internal tools to identify failures, support root cause analysis, and document findings. Create, review, and log ZPTs, escalating issues through the defect management process from identification to resolution. Assist with documentation, metrics tracking, and paperwork related to vehicle readiness. Provide clear written and verbal feedback to engineering teams on test outcomes and observed issues. Execute mission prep procedures, including launching software across multiple devices, verifying configurations, deploying software, capturing requested data, and escalating issues as they arise. Support continuous improvement of testing processes and tools based on observed operational and customer needs. Uphold a safety-centric, inclusive culture with open and professional communication.
Requirements
2+ years of experience supporting complex testing, QA, or vehicle testing operations Familiarity with defect tracking and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence (or Azure DevOps) Basic QA testing experience Proven ability to problem-solve and perform effectively in high-pressure situations Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace Strong written and verbal communication skills Proactive, resourceful mindset with strong attention to detail Safety-first attitude with a strong sense of urgency and ownership Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
