Job Description: Senior QA Lead (Automation) Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Lead with expertise in Test Automation to lead and mentor our QA team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Selenium with Java, API testing, and test management tools like Jira and Xray. This role requires both technical proficiency and leadership capabilities to ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the QA team to deliver high-quality software products. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java. Plan, implement, and execute automation and manual test strategies for web and API testing. Drive test automation efforts to improve efficiency and reduce time to market. Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Perform root cause analysis and provide detailed reports on defects and testing progress. Collaborate with development, product, and project teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability. Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements using test management tools like Jira and Xray. Mentor and guide junior QA engineers to build technical and domain expertise. Required Skills and Experience 10+ years of experience in Software Testing with at least 5+ years in a QA Lead role. Strong hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium with Java. Good understanding and practical knowledge of API testing (e.g., using Postman, RestAssured, etc.). Proficient in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks. Solid experience with test management and defect tracking tools: Jira, Xray. Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to performance testing tools is a plus. Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments. Experience in mentoring and building high-performing QA teams.
