Role & seniority: Staff Quality Engineer (8+ years) focused on quality for large, complex financial trading systems; senior, technical, and customer-focused; operates within Forge’s quality engineering team.
Stack/tools: Software testing and automation for fintech/trading platforms; test planning, left-shift testing, automated test development, documentation, collaboration with product/design/security; uses AI to improve testing effectiveness.
Build comprehensive bottoms-up test strategies for platform services; write test plans for functional, compliance, and legal use cases.
Drive early involvement in projects to identify gaps, failure modes, and opportunities to shift testing left; automate high-value tests and promote best practices.
Collaborate across product, design, information security, and business teams; develop clear documentation; diagnose issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.
8–12 years of software testing experience; fintech/trading or financial services background.
Experience leading quality efforts for internet applications; strong communication and data-driven decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field (or 5 years software engineering experience); ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience leveraging AI technologies to improve testing impact and efficiency.

Location: This position is remote in Denver, CO. We intend to open an office in Denver and once we do, we will require hybrid attendance onsite at least 9 days each month.
Physical requirements: operate a computer for at least 8 hours per day; give and receive detailed information through verbal and written communication For residents of the Denver, CO area, the annual salary range for this role is $155,000 - $175,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors Upon offer, we conduct background checks that include employment and education verification, state, and county criminal history searches.
