Role Overview The QA/UAT Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of software applications. With 7–8 years of experience, the role requires strong technical expertise in testing methodologies, hands-on test execution, and stakeholder management during UAT phases. Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning: Define and implement test plans, strategies, and acceptance criteria for projects.
Functional & Regression Testing: Design and execute manual and automated test cases across modules.
UAT Management: Coordinate with business users to plan, execute, and sign off UAT cycles.
Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and resolve defects using tools like JIRA/ALM.
Automation Frameworks: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
API Testing: Validate integrations and migrations using Postman/SoapUI.
Performance & Security Testing: Collaborate with specialized teams to ensure non-functional requirements are met.
Documentation: Prepare test reports, traceability matrices, and UAT sign-off documents.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure requirements are met.
Mentoring: Guide junior QA engineers and contribute to process improvements. Required Skills & Experience 7–8 years of QA/UAT experience in enterprise applications. Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC. Hands-on expertise in automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright). Experience with API testing and migration validation. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Proficiency in test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail). Excellent communication skills for UAT coordination with business stakeholders. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. ISTQB or equivalent QA certification preferred.
