The Market Expert Test Driver (Asian markets: India & Indonesia) is responsible for capturing customer requirements and perspectives for complete vehicles in different target markets. The role contributes to evaluating product readiness, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction from a real-user point of view.
Position Responsibilities
Inspect and verify vehicle condition and attached materials according to the checklist at the beginning and end of each shift. Drive test vehicles to assess product performance, competitiveness, and readiness for customer usage. Achieve target mileage as defined by testing standards and project gate requirements. Simulate customer usage scenarios based on market experience and real-world conditions. Prepare detailed assessment reports and record issues identified during evaluations. Understand vehicle features and identify engineering-related issues; capture logs and data for issue reporting. Perform basic vehicle preparation, software updates, and configurations to ensure vehicle health and test readiness. Conduct competitor bench-marking to evaluate performance and feature gaps. Support other team activities and operational tasks between driving cycles as required.
Requirements
Proficient in English communication (both written and verbal) Local candidates only. Graduated from a Technical College or higher, majoring in Automotive Engineering, Mechanics, Electrical, or Mechanics. Demonstrated expert driving skills with a clean driving record and solid defensive driving techniques. Strong understanding of driving behaviors, customer needs, market preferences, and vehicle competitiveness. Possess excellent analytical, reporting, presentation, problem-solving, and vehicle evaluation skills. Flexible to work in various shifts and eager to learn new skills as required by the team. Willingness to travel frequently (more than 50% of the time).
