The Purpose of This Role

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer with 6-9 years of hands-on experience in designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests for web and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of performance testing tools, methodologies, and metrics, and will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our systems under load.

By proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies across application, infrastructure, and database layers, you help prevent costly downtime and degraded user experiences in production. Your work enables development teams to release high-quality, optimized applications with confidence, while also supporting business goals such as customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost control. Through detailed performance analysis, log insights, and continuous monitoring, you deliver actionable recommendations that drive system improvements and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop performance test plans, test scripts, and test scenarios based on business requirements.

· Execute load, stress, endurance, and spike tests using tools like LoadRunner, JMeter or Akamai Cloud Test.

· Monitor system performance using APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog).

· Use log analysis tools such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk, Trace Log to extract insights from large volumes of log data.

· Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks in application, database, or infrastructure layers.

· Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve performance issues.

· Provide detailed performance test reports and recommendations for optimization.

· Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in performance engineering.

Required Skills

· 6+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering.

· Proficiency in performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, Akamai Cloud Test, JMeter).

· Strong knowledge of HTTP/S, REST APIs, and web technologies.

· Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis.

· Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure)

· Good understanding of system architecture and database performance tuning.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering.

· Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Groovy).
