Top 3 responsibilities

  1. Support operations in distribution, repackaging, and relabeling of medical devices; ensure quality outputs.

  2. Maintain and improve quality systems: metrics, management reviews, SOPs/WIs, KPIs, CAPAs, and root-cause analysis support.

  3. Act as quality contact for clients; help establish and maintain procedures for receiving, storage, value-added services (if applicable), and shipping; drive cross-functional quality activities with Operations.

Must-have skills

  • Experience with quality metrics, risk management, change management, and SOP/WI authoring.

  • Capability to monitor KPIs, perform trend analysis, and support CAPA and root-cause investigations.

  • Knowledge of validation/qualification of equipment, processes, or software; strong cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior work with medical devices, outsourcing/contract manufacturing, or GMP environments.

  • Client-facing experience and proficiency with QMS tooling and audit readiness.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,190.00 - $93,210.00 USD Annual. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. Supports, and continuously improves the operations and quality system elements for the facility involved in the distribution, repackaging, relabeling, and contract manufacturing of medical devices within Owens & Minor’s Outsourced Logistics business unit. Serves as a quality contact for assigned areas of oversight and accountable for all quality outputs for those respective areas. Supports reduction of defects and problem resolution utilizing a variety of investigative and analytical tools. The individual will contribute to achieving the milestones and objectives for their assigned areas of responsibility Qualifications 1. Supports programs such as quality metrics, management reviews, cost of quality, training, risk management, change management and authoring and managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). 2. Supports operations to ensure compliance for the distribution, repackaging, and relabeling of medical devices. 3. Supports operations to define quality objectives for key performance indicators (KPIs). Supports the implementation of associated measurement systems and collects, monitors data for relevant trends of KPIs. 4. Supports oversight of associated quality management system activities to ensure that Process Exceptions, Non-conformance, and CAPAs are opened as needed and are resolved in a timely and effective manner; supports root cause analysis through training and hands-on assistance. 5. Supports validation or qualification tests of new or existing equipment, processes or software in accordance with internal protocols as applicable. 6. Acts as the quality contact for client(s). Will be accountable for ensuring procedures and processes for receiving, storage, value added services (if applicable), and shipping are established and current for the client(s). 7.
