About The Role You're Considering
We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to become a critical on‑site leader for quality issue management. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted technical expert and problem solver—owning quality challenges from identification through resolution while collaborating closely with suppliers, inspectors, and cross‑functional teams.
This position is ideal for engineers who thrive on structured problem solving, data‑driven decision‑making, and driving real improvements in quality systems and supplier performance.
What You’ll Do
Quality Issue Leadership
Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for incoming quality issues Evaluate, triage, and route quality issues to the appropriate teams with urgency and precision Lead structured root cause investigations using methodologies such as 5‑Why, Fishbone, 8D, and FMEA Ensure all quality issues are clearly documented and tracked in appropriate systems
Supplier Quality Management
Partner directly with suppliers to swiftly resolve quality concerns Collaborate on corrective and preventive action plans that address root causes, not symptoms Verify and validate the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions
Documentation & Data Analysis
Review and analyze quality documentation to ensure alignment with specifications and standards Identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities using quality data Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation—including SOPs, Work Instructions, and Job Aids—in collaboration with subject matter experts Ensure documentation is accurate, standardized, version‑controlled, and compliant with internal and regulatory quality requirements
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
Track and maintain key quality metrics and performance targets Prepare and present quality performance summaries for internal stakeholders Share insights and outcomes from quality analyses in regular review meetings Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners
Continuous Improvement
Actively improve daily quality operations, reporting tools, and workflows Support the definition, tracking, and refinement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Contribute ideas that strengthen quality systems, supplier performance, and overall efficiency
What you bring
US Citizen, Green Card Holder or Permanent Resident Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field 5–10 years of experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or a closely related role Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards Hands‑on experience with root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving techniques Proven ability to write and maintain quality procedures and work instructions Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred Requirements
Aerospace experience Experience with SAP or any favorable QMS Comfortable with handling and managing data, data analysis and data dispatch Previous experience with supplier management for quality defects Experience managing quality issue databases
