Role & seniority: Lead Software & Firmware Verification and Validation Engineer (CPU FW V&V); senior technical/people leadership overseeing a global multi-role verification team.
Stack/tools: embedded firmware/software (C/C++, Python, Java); CI/CD automation; Windows/Linux/Android environments; ARM/x86 toolchains (GCC/LLVM); BIOS/UEFI and OS integration for x86/ARM64/RISC-V; DFT; automation scripting (Shell/Bash, PowerShell).
Build, manage, and scale a global FW verification and validation organization; ensure quality milestones align with business needs.
Define/refine automation strategies to optimize CI/CD, manage release cadence, and streamline issue response and SLA management.
Oversee risk management, reduce technical debt, and coordinate cross-functional interfaces (SoC, firmware, release management, product/program management) for robust production software.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/CS/EE (or related); 8+ years software/firmware experience (or 6+ with PhD/7+ with Master’s).
4+ years programming in languages like C/C++, Python, Java; strong cross-functional collaboration and requirements communication.
Experience in embedded SW/FW quality, CI/CD, automation; familiarity with SOC-focused firmware, toolchains (GCC/LLVM), and BIOS/UEFI/OS integration.
Windows/Linux/Android platforms; scripting expertise (Shell/Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Experience deploying AI too
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven knowledge of Windows, Linux, Android, Python, and C/C++.
Strong demonstratable experience in Automation and Scripting using C, Shell/Bash, Python, Powershell, etc
Proven skill to on software/firmware development, deployment and test in embedded systems
Extensive knowledge and experience in SW/FW engineering with focus on SOC solutions (minimum 5 years).
Prior exposure to working with various Tools and Toolchains for C/C++ such as GCC, LLVM and/or ARM based toolchain
Experience with SW/FW integration at BIOS/UEFI, Operating System for x86/ARM64/RISC-V
Experience in deploying AI tools to automate and accelerate Software / Firmware Validation and quality.
