Role & seniority: Senior/Staff-level hardware verification engineer focused on silicon test and debug infrastructure.
Stack/tools: C, embedded C; scripting Python/Perl/Tcl; emulation platforms; JTAG debuggers (e.g., Lauterbach); pre-silicon/post-silicon validation; ARM CPU architecture (ARMv8/v9); OS fundamentals; lab equipment and test automation; experience with embedded OS/bare metal.
Develop and execute test procedures to establish functionality of new silicon.
Debug failures with cross-functional teams (silicon, boards, software, manufacturing) and provide silicon health updates.
Plan, develop, and execute tests validating CPU subsystem and system-level integration; support pre/post-silicon validation and field/debug activities.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years building test and debug infrastructure and test/lab automation scripting.
Proficiency in C/embedded C; scripting in Python/Perl/Tcl; experience with emulation, FPGA, JTAG debuggers; strong silicon debugging and system-level validation.
Experience with complex system debug, embedded OS/bare metal programming.
Knowledge of ARM architecture (ARMv8/ARMv9), ARM CPU design, design validation, test coverage, and silicon pre/post-silicon workflows.
Familiarity with OS fundamentals, EDA tools, and pre-silicon emulation environments.
