Role & seniority: Software Integration & Test Engineer (mid-level) for Tactical Communications at General Dynamics Mission Systems.

Execute software I&T on software-defined hardware solutions; troubleshoot defects with hardware/software teams.
Develop/maintain automated test scripts and support CI, test reporting, and configuration management for releases.

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field; 2+ years of experience (or Master’s with 6 months).
Knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting (Python).
Experience with hardware/software integration testing and test equipment.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced, rapid-prototype environments.
Agile experience; defense/aerospace industry background; familiarity with software testing and debugging.
Willingness to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to increasing responsibilities.

As a Software Integration & Test Engineer for Tactical Communications, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing rapid prototype mission critical solutions to our customer community.
Execute software integration and test (I&T) on software defined hardware solutions Troubleshoot software bugs realized during I&T, working with hardware and software engineers to resolve Follow best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting Suppprt development of automated test scripts using Python 3.9+ Coordinate integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams Support AGILE implementation Support configuration management documentation and processes to release and deliver software Maintain accurate records of test activities and results
