Role & seniority: Automation Engineer, Level 1 software design/testing for machinery and process control in metalworking plants (contributing within the Automation Steel Making department)
Stack/tools: PLC/HMI development; Siemens S7/TIA Portal; Rockwell Studio 5000; S7-1500; Controllogix; SCADA (Wonderware Intouch, Siemens WinCC); industrial electrical schematics, P&ID, process diagrams; integrated simulation and on-site commissioning
Design and test Level 1 software for machinery and process control, ensuring functionality and performance per standards and contracts
Draft functional specifications, prepare technical documentation, and define interfaces with third-party automation systems
Program PLC/HMI, conduct integrated testing, and commission projects on-site
Degree in electronics/e Electrical/computer engineering or automatic control
Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
Ability to read electrical schematics, network diagrams, P&ID, and process diagrams
