Here’s a detailed breakdown of a typical job description for this role: Role Overview An SDET specializing in API backend testing is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for backend systems and APIs. This role blends software development and quality assurance, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performing backend services. 🔧 Responsibilities Develop and maintain automation frameworks for backend systems and APIs (REST/gRPC). Design and execute test cases for functional, integration, performance, and security testing of APIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define test strategies. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and continuous integration. Monitor and analyze test results, identifying root causes of failures and ensuring timely resolution.
