Title: Test Engineer

Job Summary

The Test Engineer at GMPPU plays a critical role in executing engine, powertrain, and component testing within a high-performance development environment. This position requires hands-on technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to operate advanced test systems independently. The ideal candidate will have a background in motorsports or high-performance engineering and be proficient in AVL PUMA and related test automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and execute test requirements as defined by lead engineers.
Collaborate with test cell engineers and technicians to meet testing objectives.
Install engines, gearboxes, and associated components into test cells.
Design and fabricate custom tooling and fixtures for unique test setups.
Operate test cells and support equipment independently, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Troubleshoot issues with test units or cell equipment and implement corrective actions.
Document and report test data clearly and accurately.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Maintain and optimize test cell equipment and procedures.

Required Qualifications
