Role & seniority: HVDC Systems Commissioning Engineer (experienced/senior level); on-site, worldwide assignments; 100% travel required.

Commission and ensure technically sound, timely, cost-effective HVDC system deployments on-site worldwide, focusing on data networks and network components.
Commission, maintain, and monitor network infrastructure (TCP/IP, HMI), and manage time synchronization and interfaces to signal providers.
Troubleshoot/testing of communication interfaces; support Commissioning and Support Management in quality, risk, and claims management; participate in improvement programs (Lean, Reviews, Lessons Learned).
Vocational training or university degree in electrical engineering or information technology; certified electrician.
Proven network administration skills (switches/routers), HMI basics, PC administration/virtualization.
Basic network security, TCP/IP, RADIUS knowledge; ability to convey complex technical info clearly; good English; German desirable.

Responsible for the technically sound, timely, and cost-effective commissioning of HVDC systems on-site (worldwide), particularly data networks and individual network communication components
Responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and monitoring of the network infrastructure, primarily TCP/IP, the HMI concept, and its adaptation to specific requirements
Responsible for time synchronization and the local and remote signal converters, thus serving as the interface to all other involved signal providers
Supporting other commissioning components, as well as customers and external partners, in troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces
Supporting the Commissioning and Support Management team in quality, risk, and claims management
Participating in improvement programs (including Lean, Reviews, and Lessons Learned)
Completed vocational training or university degree in electrical engineering or information technology, or comparable qualification
Certified electrician
Good knowledge of network administration (switches, routers, etc.), HMI basics, and PC administration (hardware and virtualization)
Basic knowledge of network security and monitoring
Basic knowledge of network protocols (including TCP/IP and RADIUS)
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and precisely
Good English skills; German skills are desirable
Basic knowledge of circuit diagrams and electrical systems
Experience working on construction sites, and optionally on offshore platforms
Class B driver's license
