We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, technically challenging role working on high-speed, custom-built machinery, supporting projects from concept through to installation and commissioning at customer sites worldwide.
You'll bring strong experience in PLC, HMI and motion control systems, ideally using Siemens S7 and/or Rockwell ControlLogix. Experience with servo drive applications and motion control would be highly advantageous.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning their work end-to-end - from writing control plans, PLC and HMI programs through to PLC commissioning phase and final installation at customer premises.
Close collaboration with colleagues across departments, and regular communication with customers are key success factors for this role.
Intermittent international travel is required, supporting machine installations and working directly with end users on upgrades and improvements.
You'll benefit from a cross-functional development pathway, working alongside our electrical design engineers and broadening your technical capability across the wider automation and control landscape.
If you're looking for a role where you can apply deep technical expertise, see the impact of your work in the field, and be part of a collaborative, engineering-led business - this is a great opportunity.
Software development for special purpose machines Design studies and reviews and preparation of specifications for special applications Completion of FAT documentation Assisting with engineering queries and manufacturing quality problems. Carrying out installation, commissioning, and troubling shooting visits at customer sites world-wide, working closely with Service and Aftercare teams. International travel required approximately 4-5 times annually, for around a week at a time.
