The Operational Technologies / Automation Engineer will develop, lead and plan Manufacturing Engineering initiatives which will result in significant advancements in productivity, product cost, quality and/or the maintenance of the plant facilities equipment and its production process. S/he will perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique design applications. Manage Industry 4.0 projects including automation, Digital core, IIoT, additive manufacturing, systems integration at the Cleveland, TN plant and manage project objectivities and timelines. (20%) Develop approaches to solving problems in processes, tooling, equipment, facilities, and cost utilizing Industry 4.0 methodologies. (16%) Guide & support plant teams on machine connectivity & data acquisition activities (5%) Assist manufacturing teams in the development, submission & approval of business cases for Industry 4.0 project opportunities (10%) Train key plant personnel on the Industry 4.0 tools & technologies being deployed to ensure successful adoption and achieve improvement objectives (4%) Develop knowledge & expertise in the Industry 4.0 tools & technologies to be a subject matter expert (SME) for the CRDS site teams (15%) Establish and maintain project expense and capital expenditures with pre-established budgets and timelines.
