Role & seniority: Independent Contractor (1099); Penetration tester range from mid-level to senior/principal; reports to Chief Information Security Officer; potential for full-time conversion.
Stack/tools: Penetration testing engagements across external/internal networks, web apps, cloud, mobile, social engineering, and red team; client interaction and reporting tooling; SME in offensive security remediations and attack vectors.
Conduct multiple penetration testing engagements (external/internal/web/mobile/cloud) with minimal oversight.
Write clear, actionable assessment reports and debrief clients on findings and remediation path.
Serve as SME in offensive security topics; manage client interactions and deliver knowledge sharing.
1–3+ years of penetration testing experience (external and/or internal, web app, cloud, social engineering, red team).
Industry certifications (e.g., PNPT, OSCP, CREST CRT, CPTS or equivalent).
Ability to work autonomously, and communicate with clients daily; US-based.
Extensive client debriefing experience; broad offensive security knowledge; experience across multiple project types.
Cloud security assessments, mobile app testing, or red team experience.
Location & work type: United States-based; Independent Contractor (1099) with potential conversion to full-time.

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for offensive security and experience across multiple project types. This role has the potential for conversion to a full-time position
