Role & seniority: Reliability Engineer (mid-senior) on Formlabs’ R&D Reliability Engineering Team
Stack/tools: electromechanical systems; Python (test prototyping); automated test rigs; data analysis (including field failure data); Linux; SQL (bonus)
Develop, execute, and manage validation test plans at system/subsystem/component levels to meet design/reliability requirements
Perform RCA of electromechanical failures using physics-of-failure and data-driven methods; develop CAPAs
Design/build automated testing equipment for subsystem characterization and reliability/environmental testing; collaborate with R&D on risk assessments and design reviews
Experience with complex electromechanical systems and testing sensors/actuators/ mechanical components
Ability to prototype and run tests end-to-end (experimental setup to hardware/software implementation in Python)
Strong data analysis; ability to distill results into actionable insights
Linux proficiency; scripting in multiple languages
SQL data analysis experience
Prior field failure analysis or quality engineering background
