Bring-up, performance verification, and field/lab data analysis; triage and resolve cross-functional failures (mechanical, electrical, embedded, autonomy)
Implement cross-functional system behaviors, telemetry, diagnostics, and maintenance protocols; drive process improvements for development and testing
Must-have skills
2+ years in hands-on definition, design, analysis, testing, modeling, and delivery of reliable electro-mechanical systems
Systems engineering mindset across mechanical, electrical, and software domains; ability to identify critical paths
Knowledge of design for reliability, physics of failure, integration risks of subsystems (PCBAs, motors, batteries, cameras, compute modules, sensors)
Python and/or SQL for data analysis, risk assessment, and reliability reporting
Strong communication of hardware/systems reliability to cross-functional teams; ability to own issues end-to-end

At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $127,500. - $212,500.*.
