About The Role This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.

FDM is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst / Tester located in Newark, NJ to support a project in the Securities Finance & Collateral Management technology sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 9 months but may be extended.
This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 2-3 days per week.
About You This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of mission-critical platforms that support securities lending, repo, margin, and collateral management processes for global financial institutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manual testing, a solid understanding of financial services systems, and experience working in complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and functional requirements related to securities finance and collateral management systems
Design, document, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Validate trade lifecycle workflows, collateral movements, margin calculations, and reporting outputs
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using defect-tracking tools
Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and other QA team members
Participate in requirement reviews to provide early feedback on testability and quality risks
Support release cycles by ensuring testing milestones are met on time
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a QA / Testing role within financial services or enterprise technology
Hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies and best practices
Strong understanding of SDLC and QA processes
Experience testing complex, data-driven applications
Familiarity with defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, ALM)
Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Securities Finance, Collateral Management, Margin, Repo, or Securities Lending systems
Understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and post-trade processing
Exposure to SQL or data validation techniques
Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments
Prior experience testing regulatory or compliance-driven systems
