QA Test Analyst

Are you a detail-driven QA professional who enjoys owning testing end-to-end and working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders? This is an opportunity to join a large, complex organisation delivering critical digital systems, where quality, collaboration and continuous improvement genuinely matter.
The Role You’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of new and enhanced systems by leading and supporting robust testing activities across multiple vendors, platforms and stakeholders. This is a hands-on role with real impact, offering exposure to large-scale, high-visibility programmes of work.
Plan and execute testing across the full lifecycle (functional, regression, system integration, UAT, data validation, performance). Design and manage UAT activities in collaboration with business users and third-party vendors. Review vendor test plans and results to ensure quality and adequate coverage. Log, track and manage defects through to resolution. Analyse test outcomes, document findings and recommend corrective actions. Support business stakeholders during UAT and end-user testing phases. Carry out exploratory testing and risk analysis on complex or cross-platform features. Identify opportunities to streamline testing through automation. Collaborate with other QA/UAT leads and contribute to shared best practices. Work flexibly during peak delivery periods as required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences. Proven experience working in multi-vendor ICT environments. Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills. A structured, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving ability. A clear commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and deliver against milestones.
Degree (NFQ Level 7 or higher) in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or similar. Recognised testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Foundation). Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT quality assurance/testing (a relevant Master’s may substitute for 1 year). Strong experience in test planning, execution, reporting and UAT. Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Hands-on experience with test management and planning tools (e.g. Azure DevOps).
Experience in public sector, regulated or large enterprise environments. SQL skills and exposure to data validation or reporting tools. Awareness of data privacy and security considerations. Experience contributing to positive customer or end-user outcomes.
